Moriah convinced me to take them to the Capitol today to show our support against House File 807, which is the bill that some of the legislators are trying to push through to eliminate federal deductibility. They are calling it a tax "cut" but in reality, after two years, it becomes a major tax increase. As a future taxpayer, she is very concerned about this issue.

The "Tax on a Tax" issue was squished this legislative session! Yes! Iowans will not be forced to pay a tax on a tax, at least this year. Pay attention, taxpayers! I'm sure it'll be brought up again next year. Make your voice heard in 2010 and vote for candidates who represent you!
